The TBR Book Tag!
Hey! I was tagged by the awesome Angelica @TheBookCoverGirl
- a blog you need to check out, it’s filled with some really interesting content! Getting into the tag itself, (took me YEARS to do this but hey i’m at it finally)
How do you keep track on your TBR list?
I wouldn’t be anywhere without Goodreads, it’s literally a lifesaver! But apart from that, some books that I really really want to read are always in my head so whenever I want to pick one up, I pick the one I desperate want to read then.
Is your TBR mostly print or e-book?
Usually they’re print books. Ebooks are easier and cheaper to get so whenever there’s a book which I feel is deserving of being bought in paperback, I just add it to my TBR – or To Buy. Although, I don’t end up buying them for way too long and just lose interest then. Can’t even name how many good fantasies I haven’t read because of that.
How do you determine which book from your TBR to read next?
So as I mentioned earlier, the books that I am really intrigued by and desperately want to read are always in my head, or if there’s a specific genre that i want to read, i search for them on the recommended lists of Goodreads.
A book that has been on your TBR the longest.
The Bronze Horseman by Paulinna Simmons has been on my TBR for like forever! I’ve been waiting to get it in paperback all this while but haven’t actually remembered to when I buy books. Thankfully my best friend and fellow bookreader, Vishwa has gifted me a copy so I hope to get to it soon now!
Update- DNF’d at barely 10%
A book that you recently added to your TBR list?
I recently got a ton of books so they are all on my TBR but I can’t wait to start The Big Book of Jack the Ripper. Criminal Minds has me crazy intrigued with serial killers and i can not wait to read more about that.
A book on your TBR list strictly because of its beautiful cover.
So I’m not someone who is too shook by covers but I recently saw Grace and Fury by Tracy Banghart and you bet I have it on my TBR without even having read the blurb.
A book on your TBR that you never plan on actually reading.
Half Bad by Sally Green. I got this book a while ago after listening to a bookTuber rave about it but I started and dnf’d it on page 30 itseld. Not only was the text huge like in a kids book but the story didn’t interest me much either. I think i have grown out of the young adult genre for the most part. So now since I already own it, its in my TBR but I’m pretty sure I will never actually get around to reading it.
An unpublished book on your TBR that you’re excited for.
I can’t wait to read Darkdawn, the third book in the Nevernight trilogy by Jay Kristoff. I mean after the cliffhanger in Godsgrave, this book better come out soon.
Laini Taylor’s of Muse and Nightmares which is the sequel to Strange The Dreamer is a book that’s killing me with anticipation.
A book on your TBR that basically everyone has read but you.
I have read the Mortal Instruments but I’m still to finish The Infernal Devices whose hype I feel like came and died by the time I came to know of it and its like everyone read it then and forgot about it and I’m still here thinking about it.
A book on your TBR everyone recommends you.
The Seven Husband’s of Evelyn Hugo By Taylor Jenkins Reid! – plus the cover is just beautiful.
A book on your TBR you’re very excited to read.
There’s two books I’m dying to read by two of my favorite youtubers,
Fully Functioning Human (Almost): Living in an Online/Offline World by Melanie Murphy and Doing it by Hannah Witton. I love listening to them discuss various topics in their videos and i’m pretty sure the books are a better version of them so i can’t wait to read these.
The number of books on your Goodreads TBR shelf.
Too many is what it is, way too many because of my habit of marking any even decent book i come across as TBR. To be precise , there’s 1566 books on there- a lifetime you guys.
Thanks a lot for tagging me!! I tag,
Still , everyone is free to do this tag!
