by Colleen Hoover
If there’s one thing i can thank Colleen’s books for, it’s getting me out of a book slump. Seriously! It’s been a while since i read a book, let alone a Colleen Hoover book, and this just reminded be of all the reasons i love her books.
The plot follows two lives, individually while also being intertwined; Morgan, and her teenage daughter Clara. This mother daughter duo is nothing alike, and for the most part, they don’t get along so well without Chris, Clara’s father & Morgan’s husband, keeping the family together. They are a good, or even happy family, until Chris dies in a car crash, leaving the family to deal with the aftermath.
This really is a book that you should just dive right into because there’s just so many aspects and so many different stories that somehow manage to make the book an amazing piece of work that talks about family drama, a mother & daughter struggle, romance and even a little bit of mystery. You will not be able to put this book down.
This story is a roller coaster full of grief, friendship, love and relationships; this book will break your heart for the family, make you cry happy tears for Morgan & Clara, and swoon swoon over Jonah and Miles. Collen has written a perfect combination of a YA romance and an adult drama. I was low-key a little uninterested before starting the book because i have been feeling out of YA for a while, but i was sucked right in.
I think above all, what really fascinates me about this book is the element of mystery reeled in with what is mainly, a reconciliation of a family, drama in a YA book; unlike her other usual romances, and holy shit, Colleen has this magic of putting all these aspects together in just a beautiful manner.
